Statoil is a technology-based energy company primarily focused on upstream oil and gas operations. Based in Norway, Statoil has been in Brazil since 2001. We currently employ about 200 people in our offices in Rio de Janeiro and another 500 contracted personnel offshore. We have a diverse exploration portfolio in Brazil, including operatorship of the large Peregrino offshore field in the Campos Basin. Project has started production in April 2011. Plateau production of 100.000 boe per day, expected for the first year.
