On may 23rd, we got more than 50 people together to learn about how the companies are now treating ESG as a rentable and important thing.
To talk about it, we had experts from Norway and Brazil sharing their experience.
Mr. João Fábio Franco Ferreira is Manager of BNDES Financial Division responsible for international funding through market and development financial institutions. He participated in the first green bond issuance by BNDES in 2017, which its Green Bond Annual Report was awarded the ISAR Honours by the United Nations in 2018, and also participated in the launch of BNDES’s Sustainability Bond Framerwork in 2021, focused in green, social and sustainability bond issuance in Brazil and abroad.
To bring a different point of view and with a Brazilian experience Mr. Magnus Piene, Director in DNB Markets’ 5 people strong Sustainable Finance team, assisting corporates to utilize the sustainable debt market (bonds and bank loans). He started in DNB in 1998 and has previously worked with large, international companies in DNB’s Corporate Banking area and with M&A in DNB Markets Investment Banking Division.
Prior to joining DNB, he worked several years in Kvaerner (now Aker Solutions), first as Controller in Kvaerner Engineering and then as Investment Manager in Kvaerner Venture.
