The NBCC Year-End Family event will take place on December 8, 2013, in the same pleasant surroundings as earlier years – at Joá 3000, in Joá, conveniently located between Zona Sul and Barra da Tijuca.

NBCC president Paulo Rolim suggests that NBCC members save the date in their calendars already.

“The event is becoming a tradition, and Joá 3000 is a nice place to spend an afternoon in the company of friends and business partners, a nice place for networking and getting to know new people outside of the office”, Mr. Rolim says.

“Creating venues for networking is an important part of what the Norwegian Brazilian Chamber of commerce was founded to provide for our members”, he continues.

Mr. Rolim encourages NBCC members, their friends and business partners to bring family members and their children, as the venue has a pool, a small football field and lots of activities for the little ones. There will be people organizing different recreational activities for the children, and a huge inflatable slide, usually very popular among them.

As earlier years, there will also be top tree hiking for the most adventurous guests, and the organizers suggest that participants bring both suitable footwear for climbing trees, swimwear, mosquito lotion and sun screen.

Norwegian Christmas sweets, known as “kransekake”, have also become a part of the tradition. Brazilian “churrasco”, with a salad buffet and other side dishes, is on the lunch menu. This year, vegetables from the barbecue will also be served, in case there are vegetarians among the guests.

The venue is easy to find and there are plenty of parking lots on the site. The organizers can also assist in calling a taxi to get back home for those who prefer to leave the car in the garage and enjoy a cold beer or a caipirinha during the event.

More details on the event will follow, and so will a map on how to get to Joá 3000, in case you are in doubt how to get there.
